3rd Class had a wonderful time on their school tour to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park! 😊

We were delighted to welcome past pupil Chloe Lawlor back to Scoil Rois this week. She spoke to our pupils about her remarkable discovery of two new planets as part of her research at University of Galway.

Some of our pupils were also filmed speaking about the STEM activities they have been involved in throughout the year for the Curious Minds Awards 2026. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their learning, creativity and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Our 6th classes participated in an exciting online workshop with Matty and Emily from Dreamspace at W5. They enjoyed learning about computational thinking and coding using BBC micro:bits.

Congratulations to our two finalists who took part in the World Cup final this week! ⚽️

Ivory Coast beat Germany on penalties after the match finished 6-6. It was one of the most exciting finals to date!

5th Class had a fantastic day at ‘Let’s Go Activity Camp’ in NUIG this week for their school tour.

It was a great honour to have Chloe Lawlor visit 5th class today. Chloe is a past pupil of Scoil Róis and has recently discovered a new planet “Wispit 2c”. Chloe is a Ph D student in Galway University. Lilianna presented Chloe with a painting and the class showed Chloe the planets they designed themselves! 🚀😊
