Hope you all have settled in and having a good time.
We are hosting EGM to elect 2022-23 committee members on 14th October 2022. All the members will get the chance to select efficient candidates for each of the open positions. Before that, we will like to have your nominations for the positions that are currently open on the committee (Please mail us at [email protected]).
Please visit the official Business Analytics Society page to get the Business Analytics constitution where you can find the details of each and every position - https://socs.nuigalway.ie/societies/newbusinessanalytics.
People who will be standing for the committee positions, we request you to prepare yourselves to present in front of the society members on three points:-
1. What makes you a suitable candidate for this position?
2. Have you any prior experience in handling the role you are applying for?
3. What is your vision about the role and how will you be contributing to society members as a committee member?
There need not be any formal presentation but a small 2 minutes briefing is sufficient.

Meet our fourth alumni for the event!
👋Ms. Sonali Raut is currently working as a Data Scientist at Munich Re. She graduated from class of 2019. Along with pursuing Masters, she worked as a Teaching Assistant at NUIG and has conducted various tutorials for MSc. ISM and undergrad students. She is a SAP certified professional and went on pursue her career after completing masters as a Data Analyst at DePuy Synthes in Ireland. She has been the founding member of the Business analytics society at NUIG in 2018-19.

Meet our third alumni for the event!
👋Mr. Siddhant Mohapatra is working as the Insights and Analytics Manager at Meta. He graduated from Class of 2019. As a student, Siddhant has worked as a Business Intern, freelanced as a website designer and has also been part of the BOI TY Academy. He has participated and won various awards for Innovation challenges and has also been a nominee for the International student of the year 2019 by Union of Students in Ireland. Currently his work at Meta involves quantifying top quality issues, implementing change with cross-functional partners and much more.

Meet our second alumni for the event!
👋Ms. Tatiane Brandao is working as a Data Analyst at MetLife. She graduated from Class of 2021 and has been the Class Representative for her batch. While pursuing her Masters, she was actively involved in many volunteering and academic activities such as tutoring undergrad business students, Representative at NUIG sustainability board and many more. Currently working in a cross-functional role to implement one of the most lead efforts towards GDPR compliance.
