ICSG is a multidisciplinary research centre on ageing at NUI Galway. Our focus is on research, education and training in the field of social gerontology.

ICSG exists to broaden the scope and depth of social gerontology research in Ireland. Our aim is to enhance our position as an internationally recognised centre of excellence in the field of research on ageing. ICSG seeks to develop social gerontology as an academic field. We are committed to increasing Ireland’s capacity to support research, education and training in ageing by contributing to teaching programmes and by supporting doctoral research projects.
