Important: All Ireland Scholarships – Financial Support for Third-Level Students
Dear 6th year Parents/Guardians and Students,
We are pleased to share information about the All Ireland Scholarships, a prestigious scholarship scheme established by JP McManus in 2008. This initiative provides financial support to high-achieving students pursuing third-level education.
Each year, 125 scholarships are awarded across the 32 counties of Ireland. Successful recipients in the Republic of Ireland receive €6,750 per year for the duration of their undergraduate studies. To date, 1,924 students have benefitted from this scholarship.
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for an All Ireland Scholarship, students must: Have attended a non-fee-paying school Be completing the Leaving Certificate Examination for the first time Be in receipt of a third-level maintenance grant from SUSI (having applied before the SUSI deadline) Not be in receipt of any other third-level education scholarship
How to Apply?
There is no application process for this scholarship in the Republic of Ireland. The Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Science (DFHERIS) works with SUSI and the AIS Trust to identify eligible candidates.

TY Visit to Google: Inspiring Women in Tech and the Future of STEM
As part of International Women's Day, our TY year group took a trip to Google's European Headquarters in Dublin.
They informed us about the role that women have in Google's operations, and multiple employees told us their personal stories of how they came to work in Google. They also addressed how women are less likely to choose a career in STEM compared to men, because of a lack of accessibility to Computer Science as a Leaving Cert subject, which they want to change.
Overall, the trip to Google was very enjoyable, however there was a question about AI's role in art theft, which we thought wasn't properly addressed by the Google employees.

Taylor's Equestrian - Ower Interschools Competition
Well done to our equestrian team who represented Taylors at the Ower Interschools competition last week.
Ava Joyce (TY), Gracie Allison, (2nd) and Lily' O'Keeffe (1st) all had clear rounds in their first competitions. Gracie was unlucky not to feature with her pony Scarlett in this timed event despite jumping brilliantly. Ava jumped superbly on Heroes Silver and came away with a 5th rosette in the 80's. Lily had great final competition on Currachmore Imp resulting in a 3rd place rosette.
Well done to each of the girls. We are very proud of them.

RETURNING - Homework Club – Available for 1st & 2nd Year Students
Homework Club is returning from next Monday (March 3rd).
Homwrok Club runs from 3:50 to 4:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Room 15.
This is a great opportunity for 1st and 2nd Year students to stay after school to complete their homework in a supportive environment. They can seek help from a teacher or their peers if needed, while also benefiting from a social space with their classmates.
A mix of abilities is encouraged, as students can support and learn from each other. Whether for academic support or simply a structured space to work, Homework Club is a valuable resource for our students.
All are welcome to attend!
