On Thursday 1st October we were delighted to have 85 students participate in the LOETB Athletics Competition held at Tullamore Harriers. It was a hugely successful and enjoyable day, with our students demonstrating excellent commitment, sportsmanship and determination across a wide range of athletic events. Their hard work was rewarded with an impressive collection of gold, silver and bronze medals, reflecting the talent and dedication of our students.
We would like to extend a special word of thanks to Summer Buckley, TY student, who took on the role of photographer for the day and captured many memorable moments throughout the competition. We also wish to acknowledge Robyn Samuels for her valuable contribution as equipment manager and for ensuring that everything ran smoothly.
We extend our sincere thanks to Banagher College for organising and hosting such a successful competition. Participation in events such as these provides our students with invaluable opportunities to develop their athletic abilities, confidence, teamwork and sense of achievement. We are extremely proud of all who took part and look forward to many more successful athletics events throughout the year.
Massive thanks to our teachers who travelled on the day - Ms Kelly, Ms Mahon, Mr Gleeson, Ms Mannion and Ms Hogan. A special thanks to our PE Department for preparing our athletes and to Ms. Hogan organising and co-ordinating this trip.
