On this week’s Atlantic Tales, Pat Flynn visits Ballyvaughan to meet and hear the Lismorahaun Singers, a unique choir founded in 1999 by Archie Simpson.

We’ll hear from some of the members and musical director Peter O’Donoghue from Fanore, an accomplished tenor who has toured internationally and began his singing career with the North Clare choir.

What an amazing first night with the singers. An opening night of over 50 singers is such a great turn out for a first night. The sound quality is something special from this group. Onwards and upwards 🙌

This is a perfect moment for my career, I was an original member of the choir 25 years ago, so now being the Musical Director is a terrifying but exhilarating full circle moment for me. I'm very proud and excited for the future of the Lismorahaun Singers.
