Over Week 2 of our Summer Programme, students enjoyed a trip to the cinema, a BBQ, plenty of sports and a talent show, where they showcased their skills in animation, programming, filmmaking, woodwork, art and dance.

With thanks to Ms Rynne, Mr Jeanotte, Ms Kobyliakova and all staff who helped make these two weeks so memorable.

We had a wonderful first week of our Summer Programme, filled with creativity, teamwork and fun. From woodwork, robotics, art, sport, filmmaking and cooking to bowling and laser tag in Ennis, it's been a fantastic start. Here's to Week 2!

We were delighted to enter the Waltons Music Competition this year and receive a Very Highly Commended result. A lot of hard work, dedication and creativity from our very talented musicians.

During our summer term, two fifth year LCVP groups visited SES Shannon in conjunction with JAI.

We received a very interesting and informative presentation from SES employees from the engineering, financial, insurance and marketing areas.

The students also took part in a team building exercise facilitated by work placement students. SES also provided refreshment for all. Both staff and students had a wonderful day.

Some photos of a recent Artist-Student collaboration with local muralist Marcus O’Connors and our three groups of Transition Year Students.

Ennistymon Community School was the lucky recipient of the Artists in Schools Grant as funded by Clare Co.Council.

Marcus visited the school in May and students participated in a preparatory and an active mural workshop as led by Marcus which took students through the various steps from process to realisation of creating a piece of artwork which injects colour into our playing courts and outdoor amphitheater.

The mural was inspired by birds local to our coastal environment, those who visit seasonally and their transitional movements, a wonderful analogy for our ever growing and diverse school community.

We would like to thank Marcus for offering his time and expertise and to Clare Co.Council for funding this creative endeavour for our students to express their talents and skills.

Congratulations to our LCA and LCE Class of 2026. A wonderfully unique group of young people who now take on exams and then the adventure of third level education, apprenticeships and the world of work.

Through hard work, dedication and friendship - you have all achieved wonderful things in ECS. The very best of luck to everyone for the next few weeks. The time will fly by! And then the next adventure begins, unique to all of you.

Thank you all for being the wonderful young people that you are. Remember there is always help and support available in ECS.

A look back at an amazing year with our JCSP students ✨
This year we successfully implemented six initiatives for digital media, numeracy, literacy and language learning — creating opportunities for creativity, confidence, teamwork and fun every step of the way.
We’re especially proud of our 3rd Years, who received their final JCSP profiles — a wonderful celebration of all their hard work and achievements 👏
