Experienced "Childcare Practitioner" required for our Montessori classroom. Part-time role 5 days per week, 9am to 12noon.

- Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education or equivalent.
- Successful candidate needs to be caring, creative and dynamic teacher.
- Assist in all classroom curriculum planning, teaching and arts & crafts preparation.
- Previous childcare experience (required).

Hours:
· Average of 15hrs / per week / 3hrs per day
· The position is school term-time based. Runs from Sept to June each year
· Monday to Friday - 09:00 to 12:00 noon
· Paid holidays for Mid-term / Christmas, Easter & Bank Holidays

Enniskerry Montessori School require an “AIM Support Childcare Teacher”.

The position is a support role within our Montessori classroom, providing guidance, support and assistance to the child in question or to the classroom when needed.

The contract is 15 hours per week, term time and will run until the end of June 2023, with the review of a new contract to commence in September 2023 for 10 months (38wks).

Requirements:
• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a Childcare setting or experience working with additional needs.
• Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and the Early Years (Pre-school services) Regulations.
• Certificate in First Aid and Children First (Child Protection) training would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication & written skills to document observations & learnings along with maintaining all relevant records.
• Fluent English (is essential)

Hours:
• 15 hours / per week | Monday to Friday - 09:00 to 12noon
• The position is school term-time based and will run to the end of June 2023
• Paid holidays for Mid-term / Christmas / Easter & Bank Holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

We are located in Enniskerry Village and our Afterschool is for Junior infants up to 4th class and limited to 15 children to ensure the highest standards of care and creating a home from home environment. This session is managed by 2 staff members.

- Assist in all elements of Afterschool care from collections, homework and activities (13:00 to 17:30).
- Work alongside management as part of a team as well as taking their own activities and sessions, when required.
- Awareness of early years regulations, relevant legislation, and facility policies & procedures.
- To guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a safe and caring environment.
- To work in close cooperation with the Owner, Manager, Parents and Guardians.
- Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all children in your care.
- To assist in the planning and implementation of an age appropriate stimulating program of activities which will enhance the child’s natural growth and development.
- To ensure all quality and safety standards are always maintained in the service.
