Well done to the August / September Green School leaders. They’re going to be working hard. Today the Green School committee walked the grounds to see how we’re doing and what jobs e need to do.

We don’t know what our next theme will be for flag renewal in 2028 but we have lots of tasks to complete to keep our previous seven themes going!

Over the years, since starting our Green School journey we’ve focused on:
1. Litter & Waste
2. Energy
3. Water
4. Global Citizenship- Marine Environment
5. Transport
6. Biodiversity
7. Global Citizenship- Litter & Waste

Can we remind all parents not to park at the school gates in the mornings please?

We have three buses facilitating our school. The area immediately in front of the school gates is reserved for buses. Please don't park in front of the gates between 9:00 - 9:30am as it creates difficulty for buses to park safely.

There are no buses at 2:00pm so parents can use those spaces to park for Infant pick up.
In the afternoons at 3:00pm the buses leave the car park first. Once they have gone parents are very welcome to park there.
Thanks for your help so that we can all be safe in the school carpark.

Parents this is our first year to reopen with hot lunches so you might have questions. (We did too! 😉)

New Junior Infants:
You will get their log in details tomorrow morning. Parents can download the app, log in and order for next week. Junior Infants go home at 12:30pm for three days.
Junior Infant hot lunches start on Monday 31st.

New 3rd - 6th class pupils:
Log in details were emailed to parents yesterday. Parents can download the app, log in and order for the end of this week.
New pupils in 1st - 6th class start hot lunches on Friday 28th.

Existing Senior Infants - 6th class pupils:
Log in details from last year are still valid. Parents can order on the app as before.
Hot lunches start tomorrow Wednesday 26th.

All pupils will receive a new lunchbox and water bottle from their class teacher tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the day! We’re back ☺️

School opens at 9:00am tomorrow morning Wednesday 26th August. The staff are excited to see everyone. We know you like to take first day of school photos 📸 and so do we but remember to stay safe online. We recommend you take your first day photos at home so you don’t accidentally photograph other pupils.

Have a great morning and don’t forget Junior and Senior Infant parents are invited to stay for coffee / tea and a chance to meet each other. Lorna will have your log in details for hot lunches to give to you too.

We’re back to school next week and looking forward to meeting our new parents again! Junior & Senior Infant parents are invited for a quick coffee in the support room at 9:30am. It should be a nice time to meet other parents and have a chat!
