Hey peeps. I will be meeting with a local politician on Friday. If you could PM me or post here, its up to you, why you think it should be legalised in Ireland/Clare, if you use it and why... for pleasure is allowed as well :) I'd like to get an idea of numbers in Clare that use it (medicinally also), so if you know someone who would like their story told but wants to stay anonymous please PM me their story, or email it to me. Lets make a big impact with this. I'm hoping to get back on the radio to raise more awareness, and will contact the newspapers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can obtain a licence to cultivate. Apparently.However, anything you can do legally, with a licence, you can do lawfully without one. :) Ponder

just a little on my story. after an accident in 2002 i was left with a lot of nerve damage and severe cronic back pain, ive been on very high doses of a very strong painkillers (oxy contin & oxy norn) very addictive painkillers. in 2007 i had a spinal cord stimulater fitted, which helped emencley. then last april the batterys died and im still waiting to have them replaced, 10 months later. im in constant agony but the HSE dont care, my only relive is cannabis and im lucky to have a good GP. lets do some thing to help the people who really need it. Any suggestions would be great.

CANNABIS-BASED medicinal products, such as Sativex, could soon be available to sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other medical conditions on prescription.

the fact that cannabis is not legal in Ireland for medicinal purposes is disgraceful, we (who need it) have to criminalise our self just for pain relive, please lobby your local TD's if you belive it should.

those of us in pain need help. to know we can get some small break by useing cannabis is great. but unfortunetly that make us criminals, lokks like im a criminal
