We’ve realised it’s been more than just a second since we updated you all on our school garden! The whole school have been busy bees all year, sowing peas, potatoes, beetroot, parsnips, turnips, radishes, carrots, green beans, pumpkins, onions, garlic and strawberries🍓🧅🧄🥕 We have harvested some of these already and are looking forward to coming back next week to look after our autumn and winter crops and most importantly pull some weeds!😅 We have loved coming together collaboratively as a whole school to create our school gardens and you might hear some of the chats our veg garden have created between our students in our reel🥰

During our last term at school before the summer holidays, Mr Foudy set a challenge for 3rd-6th Class students, who could win a very special Hurling and Camogie Skills competition🏑🏆 Cue 3 months of intense skills challenges- hand pass, jab lift, roll lift, high ball, striking and so much more! Each week tallies were counted, times were taken(Ms.Daffy forgot her clipboard on more than one occasion🙈😅) until a final time and skills accuracy trial took place during the last week of school combining all skills learned and honed! With that came our Graduation Mass and Mr Foudy announced that Iarla won the 3rd-4th Class competition while Lucie won the 5th-6th Class competition👏 Thank you to the Clare senior hurling panel who signed a jersey each for our players👏 Thank you to all the 3rd-6th Class gang who took part and hopefully broke no windows at home practicing🤞😅🪟 And thank you to Mr Foudy for his endless time and dedication to bringing hurling and camogie in Kilnamona NS to another level👏🏑
