Working in an academic collaborative partnership with the University of Cumbria we have designed an exciting programme that combines school placement experiences across our large partnership of schools with training and development opportunities at both the Lancaster Campus of
the University and our training hubs around Preston and Blackburn. School Direct is a way of training teachers, which puts

schools at the heart of the process. This route, PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), for primary, secondary and sixth form teachers, is ideal if you want to spend most of your time in school while you train.

A wonderful event was held last Wednesday to mark a successful year for our Class of 2026 trainee teachers. Trainees and their families came together to celebrate all that they had achieved. The event was a recognition of their hard work and endeavour throughout their PGCE course. Well done everyone!
