Your support helped Lilian feel less alone.

Lilian is a young Mam, caring for her 18 month old daughter Billie on her own. Lilian is a student, doing a course so she can get a job and provide for her family.

But, Lilian had no support network. She and her little one were staying in emergency accommodation and it was a daily struggle to try to study and raise her child with no money and no help. She was worried about Billie reaching her milestones. They lived in a small space with no safe outdoor area where Billie could learn to walk and spend time playing.

Lilian started attending one of the Young Parents support programmes in Barnardos. Here she found other mothers just like her, facing the same issues, and she felt so good, knowing she wasn’t alone.

But most of all, she found a place where she could spend quality time with Billie, and that is invaluable. Before Barnardos, Lilian and Billie didn’t have any time to connect and play together. To just have fun. Here they were able to start building a real connection and strengthen their relationship.

A friend of Anne Rock is heading over to Calcutta in January, to a school that they have helped build out there and they are looking for children's jerseys to bring out to the children out there. If anyone has any old jerseys at home that they don't need, they would be very grateful for donations. If you could drop them into the school before Friday 12th December that would be great, thanks a million 👍🏻👍🏻
