This morning Mary our ESOL and Literacy tutor and Heather our adult educator and Lorraine our centre manager received a very heartwarming email from one of last year’s learners. Receiving emails like this is what motivates our staff and helps to show the work they are doing on the ground makes a massive difference in our learners lives🤩🎉

A great day enjoyed by the learners getting to take a walk around Mount Lucas wind farm 💨 The learners are working towards their energy flag for green schools , it’s part of sustainable development goals week in the centre 🎉

📢 EDENDERRY COMMUNITY INFORMATION DAY – FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER

Do you know what services and supports are available to you and your family in the Edenderry area?

Edenderry Community Connect (ECC) is bringing together a wide range of local, community, voluntary and statutory services under one roof on Friday 25 September from 10am–1pm in Edenderry GAA.

This is an opportunity to come along, meet service providers face-to-face and find out about supports covering areas such as mental health, family and youth support, health and wellbeing, addiction support, education and training, community services, information and advice, and much more.

There is no need for an appointment. Just come along, have a look around, talk to the different organisations and find out what services and supports are available to you, your family and your community.

🚌 A limited FREE minibus service will operate to and from Edenderry Town Hall and the GAA Centre on the day. More information on this will follow closer to the event.

✅ Everyone is welcome

Over the coming days, we will be introducing some of the organisations and services that will be there and telling you a little more about the supports they provide.

Our learners had the privilege of working with Fearghal and Alex from Offaly Local development to create this fantastic project on what the town of Edenderry means them. The group enjoyed the experience from start to finish! Our staff are so incredibly proud of the learners vulnerability and enthusiasm within this short video. Thanks again to our friends in Offaly Local Development, such a fantastic piece to showcase our amazing learners. 🎬🍿

On Thursday we had the honour of celebrating the graduation of our fantastic QQI Level 4 graduates. The memories , work and laughs celebrated this year are ones we will remember for years to come . We are so excited to find out what our fantastic learners do next in their future careers and education🤩🎓
