Learn music the child friendly way, in a singing based music programme (from ages 3-9) developed by internationally renowned Hungarian music educator Zoltan Kodaly, who believed that the voice should be our first instrument.
“The first and simplest instrument is the voice. All classes use the active learning approach in a nurturing and creative environment, where all content is planned and purpos
eful, leading to fun filled classes where children are encouraged to be risktakers and leaders, inspiring confidence and self esteem.
“Tell me and I forget,
Teach me and I remember,
Involve me and I learn.” Benjamin Franklin. All classes are singing based, with the teacher providing the model and the children actively involved every step of the way. We start with simple songs (uncovering the singing voice, leading to aural awareness), then learning musical concepts through song. This leads naturally to reading, writing and creating music where children can continue to experience the joy and wonder of music making.
“We teach sound before symbol”. Class:
The children sing songs, chant rhymes, engage in body percussion, use a variety of instruments and participate in many different forms of rhythmic movement. There is a concert included during the year for parents and friends where each child will have a role. In addition there will be choir singing classes offered to children from age 6+. Again, there will be a concert for Choir. Price List
