The Holy Family Waddler Mystery Tour is officially up and running! 🚌

Our little Waddlers got to try out their brand-new 10-seater wagon, and the faces at the beginning were absolutely priceless 😂

Some were ready to go straight away, some were taking it all in… and a few little faces were definitely saying,
“Hang on a minute… where exactly are we going?” 🤨😂

But once they got used to it, they all absolutely LOVED it! 💛🥰

They had the best time taking in all the sights and sounds of our local community, waving at people, spotting cars and buses and enjoying the fresh air together. 🌳👋

And of course, no Waddler adventure would be complete without a little excitement…

A lovely bus driver spotted our tiny travelers, gave them a big wave and even gave them a BEEP BEEP! 🚌📣😂

Well… you can imagine the excitement after that! 🥰

Our new wagon is going to give our little Waddlers so many wonderful opportunities to get out, explore their community and enjoy lots of little adventures together.

A few unsure faces at the start… but it wasn’t long before they were travelling like seasoned professionals! 😂💛

10 tiny passengers, one big wagon and lots of adventures ahead! 🚌💛✨We can’t wait to see where their travels take them next. One thing is certain… if you see our little wagon coming, there will probably be plenty of waving, giggling and very important Waddler conversations happening on board! 👋😂

🌈 A Little Update for Our Parents 🌈

We are delighted to see all of our children settling so well into their new surroundings. 💛

Please bear with us during this very important and busy settling-in period, as our educators focus on helping every child feel happy, safe and secure.

A gentle reminder that Mosaic is our main form of communication with parents. Through the Mosaic app, our educators can share photographs, updates and learning stories directly with you, allowing you to see and celebrate your child’s experiences, development and achievements.

Mosaic is more than just a communication tool, it creates an important link between home and our service. It allows parents to become actively involved in their child’s learning journey and to share information with their child’s educators.

We kindly ask all parents to use Mosaic when communicating with their child’s educators so that we can continue working together to support every child.

Some days stay with you forever… and today was one of those days. 💙

There are moments in early years that quietly remind us just how precious childhood really is, and today was filled with so many of them.

For many of our little ones, today was the last time they would walk through the door of the room that has been their safe place. The room where they took their very first steps, spoke their first words, made their first friends, found comfort in familiar arms, and discovered just how capable they truly are. When we reopen, they will proudly move on to the next stage of their journey, carrying with them the confidence, friendships and memories they have made here.

And then there were our preschool children…

Today they closed the final chapter of their early years journey with us. For some, we have known them since they were tiny babies. We have watched them grow from little hands reaching up for cuddles into confident, kind and independent children, ready to spread their wings and begin an exciting new adventure in primary school.

There wasn’t a dry eye among many of us today. Saying goodbye never gets easier. Every hug lasted a little longer, every smile carried a few tears behind it, and every “see you soon” reminded us just how privileged we are to be part of these incredible little lives.

To our wonderful children… thank you for filling our days with laughter, imagination, endless questions, muddy puddles, magical moments and unconditional love. You have each left tiny footprints on our hearts that will remain there forever.

To our amazing parents and families… thank you for trusting us with your greatest gift. Thank you for allowing us to share in your children’s milestones, celebrations and achievements. It has truly been an honour to walk beside your family during these precious early years.

To our preschool graduates… never forget how special you are. Be brave enough to try, kind enough to care, and confident enough to believe in yourselves. Chase every dream, embrace every opportunity, and know that no matter where life takes you, you will always be part of our family. We could not be prouder of each and every one of you.

As we close our doors for the summer, our hearts are full. Full of gratitude, pride, love and memories that we will treasure forever.

Have the most wonderful summer making precious memories with your families. We can’t wait to welcome our children back to their new rooms on Monday, 17th August, ready for another year of adventures, laughter and learning.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our much-loved Board Director, Evelyn Eccles.

Evelyn was a valued member of our Board of Directors, giving her time, wisdom and unwavering support to Holy Family Parish Community Crèche CLG. Her kindness, dedication and commitment to our service and the families we support will always be remembered and greatly appreciated.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, management and staff, we extend our deepest sympathies to her beloved husband Johnny, her daughters Lisa and Rachel, and her cherished grandchildren Ollie and Alfie. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this incredibly difficult time.

May Evelyn rest in eternal peace. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone whose lives she touched.

Peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, 17th July 2026.
Predeceased by her parents Oliver and Nancy, and her father-in-law Tommy.
Beloved wife of Johnny and devoted mum of Rachel and Lisa. Evelyn will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, daughters, brothers Ollie, Aidan and Davy, sisters Frances O'Neill and Ann Smyth, son-in-law Páidi King and Lisa's partner Wayde, her adored grandsons Olly and Alfie, mother-in-law Teresa Eccles, aunt Mary Watters, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, neighbours, friends, and her four-legged friend Bowie.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at her home in Crescent One on Sunday 12 noon to 8pm. Removal on Monday morning, 20th July, at 10.30am to The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Kilkerley arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

To celebrate Louth’s fantastic achievement of reaching the All-Ireland Semi-Final, we’ll be holding a Jersey Day this Friday, 10th July!

We’d love to see everyone wearing their favourite Louth jersey (or any GAA jersey) and, if possible, making a €2 donation. All proceeds will go to The Louth Hospice 💙
