Shelagh NS 50th Anniversary Shelagh National School 50th Anniversary A weekend of celebrations is planned for the Shelagh NS 50th Anniversary. See you all in June!

The weekend (June 8th & June 9th) will celebrate the 50th Anniversary and allow past pupils the chance to re-live days of old. Please unload and tag yourself in old school photos and videos from your school days. If you would like to contribute old school photographs to the photographic exhibition, you can do so by leaving the photos in the school. There will be competitions and prizes in the lead-up to the 50th Anniversary celebrations.

Seamus Tiernan RIP

For all of you in Shelagh who will remember my dear father, Seamus Tiernan, who passed away peacefully yesterday. He always had great memories of the school and his time here. Looking forward to remembering him with friends and family over the coming days. RIP.

Hi all.

Thanks for all your uploads & comments over the past number of months. We have finally reached the Scoil Bhríde, Séalach 50th Anniversary Celebratory Weekend.

A commemorative Mass takes place tonight in the Sacred Heart Church, Shelagh at 8pm. The photographic exhibition will be on display afterwards in the Naomh Malachi Clubrooms, showcasing memories from the 60s right up to the present day. Refreshments served.

Tomorrow, (weather permitting) there will be a Sports Day for young and old in the School Grounds. The photographic exhibition will also be on display in the school from 2pm - 5pm. The Long Riders will close out the weekend in the Naomh Malachi Clubrooms tomorrow night with a dance to mark the occasion. Admission €10. Doors open at 8:30pm. Tickets are available on the door. All Welcome!

We hope to see you all at some stage over the weekend.

Less than a week to go to the Scoil Bhríde, Shelagh 50th Anniversary Celebratory Weekend.

Thank you all for your comments & photos. There will be 500+ photos on display at the photographic exhibition. If you have any photos that you would like included please upload them or email them to us at [email protected] before noon on Tuesday to ensure that they will be included in the exhibition.

Almost 300 tickets have been sold for Saturday nights dance with The Long Riders in the Naomh Malachi Clubrooms. Supper provided. Admission: €10. Pay at the door is available.
