Whether it’s a wedding, funeral or baby naming, a ceremony brings people together through stories, memories and moments of connection.

And sometimes, the most meaningful thing you can do as a celebrant is simply slow down, pause, and give people a moment to take it all in.

Sometimes, “I love you” is said with words. Other times, it’s shared through a tradition. 🧡

During a beautiful wedding ceremony led by Rev. Keith, the bride’s mother presented the couple with a korovai, a traditional Ukrainian wedding bread associated with blessings and good wishes for their marriage. 🇺🇦

It’s moments like these that make ceremonies so personal. Bringing together family, culture and traditions that have been passed down through generations, while creating new memories along the way. ✨

Every family has its own story, and every ceremony deserves to reflect it. ❤️

When you’ve put care into every word of a ceremony, give people time to take those words in.

A moment to laugh, wipe away a tear, or simply feel what’s been said.

And if nerves make you rush, that’s natural. Practise out loud, take a breath, and let the full stops in your script remind you to slow down.

Short sentences can make a HUGE difference! ✨
