Ceremony shadowing at Segrave Barns 💍✨

As part of our Path to Ministry training, our students don’t just learn from behind a screen. They also have the opportunity to step into real ceremony spaces, observe real weddings, and see first-hand what it means to hold a room as a legal celebrant.

For Eamon, Kate, Emily and Pamela, this was a chance to watch the little details that matter on the day:

✨ How a celebrant prepares before the ceremony ✨ How to work with the couple, venue and guests ✨ How to manage the energy in the room ✨ How to stay calm, grounded and present ✨ How a ceremony flows from start to finish

These shadowing experiences are such a valuable part of the journey, helping our students build confidence, understand the role in real life, and picture themselves standing there one day as the celebrant.

Training with FuturFaith means learning the craft, the responsibility and the heart behind ceremony work 🤍

Last week, FuturFaith had the opportunity to attend Google DUB x AW – Affiliate Ascent in Dublin.

The two-day event began with networking drinks at The Camden, followed by the main event at The Foundry, Google Dublin HQ, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with business owners, marketers, innovators and technology professionals from across Europe while exploring topics such as AI, digital marketing, online education, community growth and the future of business.

As FuturFaith continues to grow in Ireland, we are always keen to learn, build relationships and discover new ways to better support our students, ministers and wider community.

A sincere thank you to Google and the Google Affiliate Team for the invitation and hospitality throughout the event.

A very special day at Segrave Barns for Jake & Siobhan’s wedding! 💍✨

Before the ceremony began, Rev. Lorraine had a quick chat with Eamon, Kate and Emily, three of our FuturFaith students who came along to shadow a real wedding ceremony from start to finish. 🚀

For our students, shadowing days like this are such an important part of the journey. It gives them the chance to see the role of a celebrant in real life, from the preparation and presence needed on the day, to the little moments that make every ceremony feel personal.

And as you can probably tell… there was a bit of excitement in the air! 👀

Collette Hussey, recent Path to Ministry graduate and newly qualified legal celebrant ✨

In her own words, Collette says the course gave her “immense confidence”, allowed her to move at her own pace, and left her feeling supported throughout with positivity, help, guidance and encouragement 🧡

Today we’re sharing the second part of Collette Hussey’s graduation day at Homestead House 🧡

As part of her final in-person assessment, Collette also conducted a funeral ceremony, showing the other side of this work: the ability to hold space with gentleness, dignity and compassion.

Collette brought care, presence and heart to her ceremony, and we’re so proud to see her now graduate as a FuturFaith Minister.

From wanting to become a celebrant for years… to officially becoming a FuturFaith Minister! 🎉

Margaret Timmons recently completed her Path to Ministry journey with us, and we’re so proud to share a little piece of her experience. 🥹

After 30 years in the public sector, Margaret found FuturFaith, met Rev. Lorraine, began her training, shadowed live ceremonies, learned from other students’ graduation days, and built the confidence to step into this new chapter.

Her advice to anyone thinking about it? “Do not hesitate.”

Congratulations again Margaret, we can’t wait to see all the beautiful ceremonies you go on to create! 🧡🌟
