DYK: I am not allowed to drive an Oakley!

Hello everybody, and welcome back to LegUpAbility, today's Did You Know video; I wanted to discuss the pressing need for change in well-meaning generalised legislation that can and does hurt the inclusion of PWD in sports. For instance, Para-equestrians with epilepsy are not able to apply for HGV licenses and are not allowed to drive horse box and fulfil their childhood dream of owning a superior Oakley one day.

Thanks very much for watching. We will catch you in the following video. Bye!!

Kind Regards

A Forest Walk & Talk - The Need for Positive Masculinity

Hello everybody, and welcome back to LegUpAbility. As you know, every so often, I like to do a Forest Walk & Talk, a series where I discuss topics surrounding mental health in a natural and calming environment. Today, we're going to talk about the need for Positive Masculinity.

Today, I want to discuss the need for more Positive Masculinity role models. But it's not just about role models. It's about all of us. We all have a role to play in promoting Positive Masculinity, inspiring young men and boys to believe that they deserve better than toxic masculinity, and showing women and girls that they deserve to be treated better.

Thanks very much for watching. I encourage you to share your thoughts on Positive Masculinity in the comments below. We will catch you in the following video. Bye!!

*The evolving role of horses for human health *

Hello everyone! We're thrilled to share some exciting news from LegUpAbility, your go-to source for para-sports!

Last Monday, I had the privilege of attending a groundbreaking conference on Equine Assisted Services in Limerick. The event, hosted at the picturesque Clonshire Equestrian Centre, was a unique opportunity to witness the diverse models of Equine Assistant Learning in action. From the innovative Horse Boy Method to the transformative Eagala's Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and the inspiring Festina Lente Vaulting Therapy, the demonstrations were truly remarkable. The day was further enriched by insightful presentations from Kezia Sullivan on her pioneering research in the EAS industry and from Terrie Brosnan on the sustainability and Costing of the EAS industry.

We truly appreciate your support! Your involvement means the world to the LegUpAbility team as we celebrate the incredible achievements of para-sports athletes. Let's make a difference together! 🎉🏇

Hello, everyone!

We’re excited to share some great news from LegUpAbility, your go-to source for para-sports!

In our latest video, we explore a vital topic: the power of respectful language when working with individuals with disabilities in the equine community. It's important to avoid infantilizing phrases like "good boy" or "good girl." Instead, let’s uplift everyone by using inclusive language and addressing individuals by name!

Safety First! Let’s inspire responsible riding together

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another LegUpAbility video!

In today's video, we need to address the serious issue of irresponsible riding videos, like those featuring galloping ba****ck on a beach without adequate safety gear. Showcasing such reckless behavior is not only unacceptable but also dangerous. These videos can have a powerful impact, particularly on younger viewers, encouraging them to engage in risky activities that could lead to severe injuries or even loss of life. It’s imperative that we actively discourage the creation and dissemination of this harmful content. Instead, let’s champion responsible riding practices that emphasize safety and consideration for everyone sharing the road.
Thanks for watching, and stay Safe!!
