The Parents Association of Gaelscoil Thulach na nÓG (Coiste na dTuisi) represent all parents of children in the school and support the running of the school.

Providing information from our Parents' Association for all parents and carers of Gaelscoil Thulach na nÓg students including school events, updates and fundraising. The purpose of having a school Parents Association page is:

1. To continue to advance our school communication system with information shared via Facebook, along with the existing methods of paper notes, text messages,

email, and the school website

2. To publicise school events, and increase awareness about school fundraising

3. To announce any updated information that appears on our website via Facebook

4. To highlight, recognise and celebrate positive school achievements in a forum where they can be shared by the school community

5. To make school announcements (e.g. school closure due to snow)

6. To maintain contact with parents, especially new parents

Suggested terms of use of Coiste Gaelscoil Thulach na nOg’s page;

• Users cannot advertise products or services of any description on our page.

• Users cannot post anything on the page that could be deemed as
offensive – inappropriate or harmful comments/content will be removed
immediately.

• Users cannot engage in giving negative feedback on our page, it is
advised to deal with the school directly on any such matters.

• Users cannot mention staff members as a a whole or individually in any posts

• Users cannot ask to become “friends” with staff

• Users cannot tag or post photographs of children on the page. Likewise, users cannot add comments to any posts that can identify children

• Facebook lists a minimum age requirement of 13, and all parents are
reminded that children under the age of 13 should not be on Facebook. No pupil of the school will be accepted into the Facebook group

The sanction for any user breaking any of the above rules is an automatic ban from the Schools’s page.

The PAC will be holding their annual Christmas raffle this week. We have some fabulous prizes to be won, including:

Tickets are €5 for 1 strip or €10 for 3 strips. If you would like to purchase tickets, please send money in an envelope in with your child this week. Students from rang 6 will be going around to classes each day selling tickets. You can also buy tickets at the children's Christmas shows on Friday (cash only please)

Christmas Cards 🎅🤶🌲

Rang 1-6 have brought home the templates for their Christmas cards today, the naíonáin beaga agus móra will bring them home tomorrow.

We are using a different company this year and ask that the children do their artwork at home. The printer has asked that the children don’t use colouring pencils. We have been advised that markers are better in print.
On the completed template please state your child’s name, class and teacher and how many packets you wish to purchase IF you wish to purchase them.

Cards are €10 per pack of 10. NO proofs will be issued this year. The template decorated by your child is your order form. Payments will be made via Aladdin this year. Please return to the class teacher by Monday 27th November. No late returns can be facilitated as we are already late with the cards. Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Following on from the success of the Uniform and Halloween Costume Swap the PAC are hosting a Christmas Clothing Swap on Friday 1st December. Please gather the items you no longer have use for and hand into the school office or via your children before Friday 24th November for sorting. Míle buíochas. 🎄🎅
