*Prayer and Pizza*

Friday, 4th September
8.00pm - 9.00pm
Main Church

As we say goodbye to our wonderful sixth class boys and girls, many of them—and their parents—expressed a wish to continue meeting together as a group. In response, we are delighted to announce Prayer & Pizza, a monthly gathering for young people in secondary school.

Prayer & Pizza will take place on the first Friday of every month in the Church of Ss Peter and Paul, Dunboyne, from *8:00pm–9:00pm.*

We will begin in the Main Church with a chat led by Fr Kevin where any of the children can share their stories or concerns about starting a new school year followed by a visit to the Church Baptisery for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Afterwards, we will head over to the Old School for pizza and spend time together.

This gathering is open to all children/ teenagers in secondary school. Please encourage your son or daughter to come along and bring a friend. Come with an open mind and heart; and give it a try!

We look forward to seeing you there. Thank you, as always, for your support.

Hello everyone,
We hope you are all having a nice weekend and are enjoying the last of the summer holidays. 🌞

Just a gentle reminder that the children's rosary meeting continues tomorrow at 3pm in the Church Baptisery.

We look forward to welcoming all the children especially those who we have not seen over the summer holidays. Perhaps some may like to share a story about their summer holidays and what they enjoyed most.

We will have refreshments in the old school afterwards. Collection 4.30p.m.

🙏 As always, we will continue to pray for your intentions, for world peace, for those returning to school, for the sick, and our environment.

*Please bring a friend* , parent or grandparent and spread the word of our beautiful rosary group!

As always we will ask everyone not to use their mobile phone in the church or the old school.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.🙏🙏

What a fantastic day on our pilgrimage to the Hill of Tara!

A wonderful group of 45 pilgrims and a dog, took part in today's trip, and it was absolutely terrific.

A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Kevin for giving us such a fascinating history lesson and a beautiful blessing at the Hill of Tara. We prayed the Rosary together on the bus, enjoyed a great sing-song on the journey home, and were blessed with wonderful fellowship throughout the day.

The children were amazing from start to finish and made the day even more special.

We rounded off our pilgrimage with ice cream and Orla's delicious homemade tart—the perfect ending to a memorable day.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make today so enjoyable. It was a day filled with faith, friendship, laughter, and special memories that we'll cherish.

Today the children and their parents climbed Croagh Patrick in honour of Our Lady on this special day, the 15th August, The Feast of the Assumption. Life was not easy for Our Lady, she said 'yes' to the challenges in life that she had to face. She placed her trust in God. Each of us face difficult challenges during a lifetime. It is hard but we must say 'yes' and like Mother Mary, trust in the Lord's goodness and know Our Lady will always have our back. Amen

A few of us from our village went to Lough Derg at the weekend and we brought all your intentions mentioned during our weekly rosary to this holy place. They have been included in the prayers and masses there.

For anyone interested in going to Lough Derg I would highly recommend it. It is a 3 day pilgrimage of fast and prayer which includes a 24 hour night vigil. While that may sound challenging the rewards far out weigh the sleep and hunger. The place is so tranquil, still waters, no phones, gentle smiles from fellow pilgrims. Warm words of encouragement from those around you. It is a very joyful place and you leave with your cup full of blessings and gratitude. The cost is 85 euro. I would advise if possible bring a friend as it is nice to have a bit of support if it is your first time but not essential. People are travelling to Station Island / Lough Derg since 400ad and it is a unique part of our heritage. For more information visit www.loughderg.org

Today, as we celebrate Father's Day, the Children's Rosary gives thanks not only for all the wonderful fathers and father figures in our lives but also for our spiritual fathers, who faithfully serve our parish each and every day.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Pat and Fr. Kevin for their dedication, guidance, and care. Wishing you both a very happy and blessed Father's Day!
