Blessings of Bealtaine. I have been a busy witch! The garden has been much neglected these past two years, because I’ve been a bit poorly and energy levels have been low. However. This year it’s been shouting at me to do something about it, so I have started the major tidy up that’s needed! My voice is gone though at the moment, so no video to celebrate today! However, here are some photos of what I have been doing. Yesterday on my walk, I gathered yellow flowers, as is traditional, to lay at the front door and the temple door. The dandelions in my garden were over, but our local GAA pitch was abundant with them and corn buttercups, the creeping buttercups hadn’t flowered yet. So, they were picked and laid at the thresholds. Last night, before bed, offerings of whiskey and oats were made to the Sidh, my household guardians and my ancestors at our fairy tree. This morning our faces were washed in the morning dew. Lady’s Mantle is wonderful for gathering it. And finally, my beautiful May Bush, which is so pretty at this time of year (it’s a Paul Scarlet Hawthorn), and didn’t really need decoration, but it got prettified anyway for the summer. The ribbons are only loosely tied and will stay there until the next full moon. To increase the joy of the season, the moon is full today. It is the Flower 🌺 Moon. Last night She was beaming her blessings, as I made our offerings.
This has turned into a rather long post, but I do love Bealtaine, and it was so nice to step out of the mundane world and spend time in the Other World. May the fires 🔥 of Bealtaine burn bright within, cleansing and purifying, giving you energy and hope. May we find positive growth for peace in the world, and may those who would do us and others harm, in whatever form, be brought to justice, held accountable, and make amends.
Brightest and most joyous Blessings to all!!
