Elderdale Montessori open since 2003, with fully qualfied staff with almost 40 years experience between us, open from 7.3 Infants also have a separate monitored sleep room.

The creche provides a full day care service from 7:30am to 6pm Mon to Fri. We cater for all ages from babies to school going age and we include Montessori pre-school education as part of the service. We also run an after school club from 7:30am with a local bus picking up from the creche and dropping to the local school and returning the children at 2:15 and 3:15

Infants:
Infants are cared for in

a separate room and the ages covered are approx 3 months up to 15 months. Infants are not moved in with the 1-2 yr old group until the staff deem that they are robust enough. This "graduation" age will vary a lot from child to child and the experience of the staff will determine the right time. Usually the parents supply any special foods until the childs digestive system has developed enough to handle the solid foods provided as part of the creche service. This might be typically at 6 months old. Toddlers:
The toddler room caters for the next age group and these 1-2 year olds are part of a play-group each morning. This play group allows the 1-2 year olds to get used to group play and sharing before moving on to the morning Montessori group in the following year. Food:
All food supplied is cooked freshly on the premises and there is a strong emphasis on healthy eating. Our meals are basic and simple and they allow the children to develop a wide range of tastes. We try to avoid foods that are high in sugar, salt or fat because these tend to dominate their taste preferences later on to the detriment of the healthy eating policy!! So we do not use convenience foods like chicken nuggets and chips etc. and we do use basic foods like rice , pasta , bolognese (Irish beef only) , chicken curry , potato , vegetable soup etc. Play:
Group play is a part of the everyday routine and includes outdoor play when the weather permits. We have two matted play areas and we generally divide the children according to age and physical ability. Price:
The price for the various services is available on request and we do recognise that it is a complex issue when more than one child is involved. We do try to be as economical and competitive as possible and we try to make the service work for everybody. If you would like to contact us we will try to meet your childcare needs.
