We regret to announce that Language and Leisure summer school of English 2020 is cancelled due to Covid 19 restrictions. This is the first time the school hasn’t run since 1989! For the past few months we have been waiting, watching and hoping that we would be able to have some kind of summer school this year but now we know that it is impossible. Under current government guidelines, anyone arriving into Ireland from abroad must quarantine for 14 days (this means not leaving their accommodation at all for 2 weeks), the maximum amount of people that can gather indoors is 6, all public transport is operating at a capacity of only 20%, and many tourist attractions and cultural sites remain closed. These restrictions would make it impossible for us to welcome our students in the way that we want to, impossible to deliver the high standard of courses that our students deserve, and impossible to provide the dynamic, fun leisure programme that we are famous for. We are really going to miss all of our wonderful teachers, leisure assistants, group leaders, host families and students who return to us year after year! Stay safe, stay well and we’ll see you in 2021 Xx

Tip #33 for learning English in Lockdown is to do yoga in English. There are lots of great free videos available on YouTube. Yoga is great for your mind and body but it can also be great for your English vocabulary especially body parts and prepositions! Namaste! 🧘♀️ 🧘♂️
