And.....it's a wrap! 2017/2018 ended on a high - well done to all my hardworking students, some more very fair papers today....challenging in parts, but nothing you couldn't handle ;)
I am so proud of you all, your resourcefulness, your resilience, your determination, your courage and your kindness. I wish you all the very best of luck for the remainder of your exams, and look forward to hearing from you all when the results are out.
To my amazing leaving certificate students.....the toolkit that I never stop talking about isn't just for maths. You have all got bright futures ahead of you, but without a doubt life will throw you some curveballs. Never doubt that you have got the skills and the strength to deal with whatever comes your way! If I taught you nothing else, I hope you will always remember this......when you feel overwhelmed or unsure of what to do, take a deep breath, calm yourself and remember the skills you need are in your toolkit.....you've got this ;)

I don't think we could have asked for fairer papers :) I hope all my lovely students are enjoying a well earned rest this evening. You know where I am if you need anything over the weekend, Mairin.

Practise what you preach!
Good Morning

Are you feeling overwhelmed by homework and revision tasks?
Do you ever leave things to the last minute and cram all your homework into Sunday evening?
Is the quality of your work suffering as a result?
Do you have a good revision plan in place?
Do you need to work on your time management?
I am guilty of all of the above from time to time, but when I am really organised my week runs so much more smoothly.
I always try to plan my week out on a Sunday evening. I list all the tasks that I need to complete, meetings and events that I need to attend and fun activities that I hope to take part in. I use Stephen Covey's time management matrix to help me decide how to prioritise tasks and then I schedule them accordingly.
Doing this really helps avoid wasting time on social media or watching Netflix etc. and ensures that deadlines are met in a timely manner without the last minute panic.
Why not give it a try today?
