𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞: Our toddlers were on the move today, working on gross motor development through jumping activities.

They practised balance, coordination, body control and obstacle awareness while having fun with the “snake” game

𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞: Our Montessori children love rolling, squishing, pinching, and shaping play dough, and while their hands are busy, their minds are even busier.

Every design they create, every pretend world they build, strengthens fine‑motor skills, sparks creativity, and gives them the freedom to express their ideas in their own unique way.

Simple materials, endless imagination

𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞: Our toddlers spent art time last week, painting the Irish sea, using simple blue paint to explore waves, water and all the shades in between.

This kind of activity helps little hands build early motor skills, supports colour recognition, and sparks conversations about nature and the world around them. Even with one colour, there’s so much to discover.

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞: Recently, our wobblers dove hands‑first into magic foam, and the learning was just as bubbly as the tray.

As they scooped, squeezed, splashed, and swirled, they were building fine‑motor strength, exploring cause and effect, discovering new textures, and boosting early language through all those excited little sounds and gestures.

Messy? Absolutely. Worth it? Every single giggle

Wobblers at our Milltown Centre and pasta play are always a hit. All that squishing, scooping, pulling and swirling isn’t just fun, it’s building real skills. The different textures help little hands strengthen their fine‑motor muscles, the colours spark curiosity, and the whole experience boosts early sensory confidence.

It’s messy, meaningful learning that feels like pure joy for them
