We did things a little differently this week and had the brilliant Jennifer Howlett in for an interactive voice workshop. Jennifer spoke to us about the importance of diaphragmatic breathing and voice projection 🗣️ We all learned a lot and are looking forward to putting it into practice, Thank you Jennifer! 🙏🤗

🧊Ice-breaker speeches🧊 are the first speeches members do at Toastmasters. They are typically used to introduce yourself and to speak about your path to joining. They are also shorter than regular speeches which makes it less daunting ☺️ This week Jane blew us all away with her ice-breaker, well done Jane! 👏We look forward to many more.

As part of every meeting, the Grammarian sets a Word of the Day and asks all speakers to use it as many times as possible over the course of the evening. This week we were challenged with “abnormal” and we did very well with 7 uses! 👏 Join us for our next meeting on Nov 17th to see if we can beat this 💪🏼
