Relaxing with friends after a pre-conference tools demo at GALA (Globalization & Localization Association) conference in Munich last week. Munich is our second home. It was nice to see so many friends enjoying the city and the conference.

Our General Manager presented a keynote on how automatic speech recognition technology is used by professional translators at this language technology summer school in Antwerp last week.

John Moran participated in this debate hosted by the European Commission, the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL) and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) in London last weekend. The topic of the debate was how translation technologies and tools are changing the sector.
Very interesting to see that the latest joint survey of the UK's translation professionals on the topic of technology indicated a significant uptake in the use of speech recognition software by translators.
