Mr Campbell said: ‘ On previous courses that I’ve taught some of the participants had been doing some writing for years, be it a novel, poetry, stories, plays or memoirs while others had only done a little.
‘Various aspects of writing are covered on the course such as narrative and descriptive writing and short story writing, memoirs and personal writing.’
According to Ross, the class is very relaxed and informal and participants are gently encouraged and the emphasis is on building on the skills and abilities of the participants rather than criticism.
