I love it when a plan comes together!

Great day out, felt comfortable for the whole race and in reality could have pushed a little more second half but was very happy with it in the end!

Now time for a roast and some creams that I’ve been taking about continuously for the last week

Shoutout to for all the programming over the last couple of months and everyone who came out and shouted at me ❤️

A couple of months late with this post but take a look at before & after photos of the new and improved BEST personal training and semi private facility in the city 😉

New paint and a new layout. I decided on having a more strength based room along with a conditioning based room.

Everything can move easily to allow for group training and it just feels so much better!

Do as I say, not as I do 🫠

With running intensity ramping up over the last few weeks, I have two priorities when it comes to the pins 🦵

Number one is to maintain as much strength as possible and number two is to have as much fun trying to achieve this.

I have followed programs pretty rigidly for the last few years so I’m looking forward to winging my sessions for the next few weeks 😎

I don’t recommend this all the time. I will still be aiming to progressively overload the basics but I will also be throwing in some “fun” movement too.

Above are a few bits from today’s session. Keeping reps low and weight “high” and hopefully avoiding doms so I can run comfortably tomo 🙏🏻

Caffeine can be an amazing supplement to your training when used properly ☕️

Aiming for about 4-6mg per kg of body weight can take your training to the next level

Some can consume more, some less but the one thing I would hate is to get a massive caffeine spike right after my body is already feel “high” from a great workout

45 mins or so before your workout is the sweet spot, so think about that next time your picking up your can of monster in the shop beside the gym 👍🏻

Might ruffle a few feathers but it’s the truth 🙃

I literally added 25kg to my deadlift 5RM in 3 weeks when I stopped focusing on having super straight spine.

What I do instead is relax my shoulders a little, then take the slack out of the bar and then drive through my legs

Gamechanger🏆

I get it. 🙋🏻

It’s dark and wet outside and opening up social media to see everyone and their granny posting about how it’s “Blue Monday” 😔

This isn’t going to make anyone feel better. So instead, use it as an opportunity to go and get some positive movement in for 20-30mins ✅

A lot of us don’t have to feel like crap today. Get out of your head and into some exercise for a little bit and then see how you feel 😊

Don’t get me wrong here, when I see someone pressing 3 plates I’m immediately like “respect” and I’m super jealous

BUT

When I see someone with a sub 40 RHR, I’m immediately like “f*ck that’s impressive” and I’m super jealous 🤣

A low RHR is a much greater indicator of overall health than how much one can bench press

Your heart is the most important muscle in your body and if you neglect it over aesthetic gains, eventually you will pay the price 💔

I’ve always had a sweet spot for some hard cardio but I know a lot of people despise all forms of it.

What you need to do is find a form of cardio that is relatively enjoyable for YOU and add it in 1-2 times a week

Over time your RHR markers will improve along with pretty much everything else 🤝
