Those who know me know I’m not a big breathwork fan, nor a yin enthusiast. Not that I don’t see value in them, they just don’t resonate with me. But your diaphragm needs helpers and the back of the rib cage is stuck for most people—so we’re stealing a bit of yin and breathwork in this picture to target this pesky area to unlock the rib cage and open the spine and breath capacity further.

What you see: a beautiful, deep wheel pose that most people strive for.
What I see: a big hinge at the thoracolumbar junction, shoulders that look ready to support the load but aren’t, and a spine that compensated—until it couldn’t.
Wheel pose felt like a win once I was “open” enough. But that openness? It came at the cost of balance, stability, and eventually, pain and injury.
In my upcoming 40hr Core & Spine trainings—next week in Dublin and June 17–22 in Seattle—we’re diving into what the spine actually needs. Not just flexibility, but smart mobility. Not just abs, but real core strength.

Do you feel like something’s missing in your teaching?
When I graduated from my 200-hour teacher training, I was excited to step into the studio and start teaching. I was growing as a teacher, but deep down, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was holding me back from being the teacher I wanted to be.
That all changed when I took a 300-hour training. It gave me the tools, knowledge, and confidence to step fully into my purpose—not just as a teacher, but as a leader in my community.
This is how I’ve designed the 300-Hour Advanced Teacher Training at Hot Yoga Dublin, with our 2nd year beginning again this February. It’s for teachers who want to deepen their knowledge, build confidence, and create a teaching career that is both fulfilling and sustainable.

I haven’t posted a “here is my handstand” photo in a while because frankly I don’t really take handstand pictures in the wild much anymore but when you’re exploring Athens with you don’t really have a choice, he just says get in a handstand and you do it. So here is my handstand.

As a yoga teacher, it’s rare to get photos of myself actually teaching. Most of the time, it’s just a pose here, a staged practice there, or a shot that feels rehearsed. And honestly, it’s hard to catch me without a goofy, animated face, let alone to capture the real vibe of my classes.
But during my last trip to Dublin, I had the pleasure of working with the amazing . Not only did she manage to be practically invisible while shooting, but she also captured the essence of what it’s like to take class with me—and I have to say, she made me look pretty good!
