We teach Chinese Martial Arts (Kung Fu and Tai Chi) in a traditional way using modern methods

White Crane Kung Fu is a martial arts system that comes from the Fujian province of China. It was created by a woman called Fan Chi Niang who lived in Yong Chun village in Fujian, China in the 17th century. Kung Fu translated from Mandarin Chinese literally means “hard work over a long period”. It denotes something that you focus on over a period to improve all aspects of you as a human being. Mar

Most people assume solo practice and group classes are completely different experiences.
That's not the case.

Training at Dublin Kung Fu is structured:

joint warm-up and conditioning
group drilling of core techniques
individual correction from the instructor
personal repetition at your own pace

No competition between students.
No pressure to match someone else's level.
You work through the material with attention to your own movement — not theirs.

The goal is to build consistency in how you move — not to outperform the person beside you.

Kung Fu training in class is not about competition.

There are only sparring matches in our sparring classes, no rankings by combat record, no pressure to outperform others.

Training is measured by your own improvement, not by results against someone else.

Kung Fu is helps spinal alignment under load ,
joint stacking from foot to shoulder,
weight distribution across a stable base
controlled positioning through repeated movement

People come in with rounded shoulders, collapsed posture, and poor body awareness.
They stay because standing, stepping, and turning correctly starts to feel natural.

You don't need perfect posture to begin.
You need to show up and move.

Partner drills are structured:

Clear roles — one person leads, one responds
controlled distance and timing. Repeated movement with a focus on form.

No free-fighting in our kung fu classes - only in our sparring classes. No pressure to react fast.

You work through each drill at a pace that builds understanding, not reaction time.

The goal is to learn how movement works between two people — not to win anything.

Stances are not poses and they are not resting positions.

They train:

hip stability
knee alignment and joint control
leg strength
weight distribution between both feet

You don't need strong legs to begin.

Forms are the basis of learning through a structured grading system.

Each form is a method for drilling technique in sequence. You learn how the body moves through positions, how weight shifts, and how control is developed without a partner.
