We are inviting you to join our weaving workshops in January.
Create a small wall hanging to decorate your home during our Frame Loom all-day class, or make your own Scarf on a 4-shaft table loom during our weekend-long workshop.

Here is what one of our participants had to say about our Weaving Workshops:

I wanted to let you know that Niamh is a really great teacher, so patient and kind. I absolutely loved the creative space and learning new weaving techniques.
Niamh is so willing to share all her knowledge, and it’s a joy to learn from her. I’m absolutely delighted with the objects I made both in August and even more so this weekend. I felt quite emotional unwinding my scarf from the loom today and seeing all my effort at last, it was hard to describe but very, very rewarding. I have a wonderful hand woven scarf that I am going to treasure and love wearing all winter.

Dear Arran Street Friends,

It’s hard to believe that 2022 is coming to a close and a New Year with longer, brighter days is just around the corner.
We are really grateful to you all for your kindness, custom, and creativity during this year, and we really hope you will get some time to enjoy the holiday period.

Our team absolutely love making and teaching sustainable craft skills, providing creative spaces for our students to come and learn, discover their own talents, and take time out to enjoy handcrafted clay, textiles, and food.

We were delighted to open two new spaces in the past year - our weaving studio and shop in Dublin 7 on Arran Street East itself, and our bakery and creative hub in Schull.

As a special thank you for the welcome we received from the local West Cork community - and in recognition of the brave souls who will be doing the Christmas Day swim today - we will open our doors in Schull with FREE COFFEE between 10am and 1pm.

Thank you again for being an Arran Street East Friend.
Happy Christmas and Happy New Year from all our team.

We are delighted to yet again take part in the campaign!

Established in 2015, Arran Street East is a small, independent pottery and weaving studio based in the markets area of Dublin city centre and in Schull, West Cork. We make homewares to our own functional designs and we use traditional crafting techniques to make and teach our craft, throwing on pottery wheels, and weaving on looms and frame looms. Each piece is individually made by hand using locally inspired colours and materials, and while our pottery and textiles are designed and made to mix and match, no two items are exactly the same.

Thank you for supporting !
