PSI Early Graduate Group The PSI EGG began operating within the PSI in early 2013 to represent Early Career Psychologists who are in the first 10 years of their career.

The group will focus on generating and promoting awareness of the PSI and psychology to external audiences which include psychology graduates; developing policy documents for employing psychology graduates (e.g., in voluntary posts); organising events such as career events for graduates; and providing networking opportunities for PSI graduate members. The PSI Early Graduate Group will work in collaboration with the PSI Student Affairs
Group, whereby student (affiliate) subscribers, postgraduate members and graduate members will automatically become members of both groups. However, the Student Affairs Group committee will consist of undergraduate and postgraduate students and will focus on representing and providing events relevant to these groups. The Early Graduate Group committee will consist of graduate members and will focus on representing and providing events relevant to graduate members in the first 10 years of the career.

We had a brilliant day at our conference last month, ‘Becoming a Psychologist: Identity, Wellbeing and Early Career Growth’.

It was great to see so many people come along and to hear about the fantastic work being carried out by early career psychologists and students.

A huge congratulations to the winners of our Oral and Poster Presentations! The standard of work was really impressive, and it was great to have the opportunity to showcase it on the day.

Thank you to all of our speakers for taking the time to join us and share their experiences, advice and insights into the journey ahead for early career psychologists.

We also want to thank our sponsors for supporting the event and helping us make the day possible.
