What is the difference between scan and skim? They are techniques of reading, but what else?
Skim
an act of reading something quickly or superficially.
"a quick skim through the pamphlet"
Scan
look quickly but not very thoroughly through (a document or other text) in order to identify relevant information.
"we scan the papers for news from the trouble spots"
If you were to put a cash value on every new word you have learnt, what would it be? If you put a value on friendship, cultural experience and life adventure, would it be priceless?
My answer, 1. Priceless 2. Yes
