I won't be winning any food photography awards but let me tell you the .dish satay recipe is an absolute must.
About 4 syns in mine and worth every single one of them when a black bean would have cost me more from the take away. What's more, it's SO easy to make. You just need to make sure you have the bits and bobs there.
I had as my prawn crackers and served with basmati boil in the bag rice. Literally cooked, eaten and cleaned up before a take away would have even arrived. I know I'll make this time and time again 🍛

My first time to use the soup maker and I want to impressed! It's reduced to €49.99 in Dunnes and you can use the €10 off voucher to get it for €39.99
You'll see from my insta stories (traceysblog) I literally bunged a load of roughly chopped veg in to the machine and 19 minutes later it beeped and I had gorgeous tomato and basil soup.
So thrilled and I know I'm going to get loads of use out of this 😍

I've become really good at being honest with myself in my later twenties.
This week involved 5 days . We're talking mega greasy take aways, cake, loads of eating out, way too much chocolate and I even ordered a FRY one day. I'd never order a fry.
I know myself enough to see that while it was a week with lots of "stuff" on, a huge HUGE part of it was comfort eating.
I've been struggling emotionally this week and that is a huge trigger for me when it comes to comfort eating.
Yes I had friends over on two occasions. Yes my husband was away. Yes I met my Dad for lunch. Yes we ate out twice and yes it was Peter's birthday but I absolutely loved having a legit reason to justify the comfort eating this week.
You see, just because you've lost a large amount of weight (around 6 stone in total) you're not "fixed". It's a constant work in progress and, for me anyway, something I'll always have to keep an eye on. I can be so completely unaware that I'm doing it and then hindsight makes it crystal clear.
I can say I'm pregnant and that I'm only human but really I don't need it to have been OK because it just is what it is isn't it? Every day is a school day.
If like me you've had a day, week or months of being "off plan". If you've felt old habits creeping back in or leant on food for support and comfort then here is my best advice.
1. Just focus on the next meal. Don't look at the bigger picture. Just start.
2. Plan a nice recipe to enjoy this week. Not 5. Don't overwhelm yourself.
3. Do a shop and get organized. It's better to be looking at it than looking for it.
4. forgive yourself. You're not a let down, a mess or an embarrassment. You're human.
5. Write down 5 kind things about yourself. It has to start with self love.
6. Remember that this is not a punishment. Healthy food makes you feel so much better.
7. Remember that it's 50% about how you eat and 50% about how you feel. is so entwined with how we feel emotionally. Let's feel good first.
8. Follow inspiring accounts to get food inspo.
9. Remember food is addictive. It's free, gives an instant high and offers total escapism. I get it.
10. You are destined for greatness.

Today has been a good day. I so needed a day like this. Got some work done, blitzed the house, had a long shower and made a dinner I've been craving for weeks now 🍝
I think I always associated as my go-to "on plan" Slimming World meal and then got so bored of it that I sort of boycotted it for ages 🙈
Well every time I see it on someone's story or feed the last few weeks I can't stop thinking about it. So today I took the time to make a nice one. Oh it was simply gorgeous and completely syn free.
We all have our own way of making it but mine was red onion, garlic, carrots, two different type of peppers, lean mince and then for the sauce passata, worchester sauce, balsamic vinegar, a rich beef stock pot, dash of sweetner, oregano, garlic granules, black pepper and tomato puree.
A few weeks ago I had some fresh basil leftover and I froze it and it was great to be able to add that in today. I haaaate wasting food. I topped it with fresh (also frozen 🙈🍝) and you know when a meal just hits the spot?
Looking forward to fresh PJs and a night of writing ahead. I've a Freddo bar in the fridge to have with a cuppa later and I can't wait for it. Loving being on plan! 🎊
We spoke about this last night at group and I can honestly say in happy to food optimise forever. I'm so glad created something that meant that I could lose weight, keep it off and enjoy gorgeous meals too. Its really really helping me keep my pregnancy weight gain healthy too!
I'll always have holidays, off plan meals and times I wobble but it's always there for the taking and how amazing that even just after 24 hours back on plan you just feel 100% better in yourself 🌈
Today's food in it's entirety
- 3 pancakes with yoghurt, strawberries & banana (see my stories) & ☕
- a bagel with ham, cheese, tomato, pickles, spinach, light mayo & sweet chilli sauce.
- an apple & a Mandarin
- big portion of delicious spagetti bollognaise dusted with parmesan
- giant mug of tea - a caramel freddo.
That's the plan followed 100%. Two healthy extra A's, two healthy extra B's (preggo perks 🤰) 1/3 speed food, focusing on free foods & 9.5 syns 🍫

For the day that's in it - let's focus on self love.
Doing something positive for your health and well-being is one of the most loving things you can ever do for yourself.
I always say it - weightloss starts with self love. Sometimes we all need a little reminder that we do deserve to feel better and have a better future with good health and the confidence to enjoy it with the people we love.

Please support Sea Of Change Choir on Ireland's Got Talent I'm so proud to say one of my Slimming World members is in this wonderful choir. She's lost 2.5 stone and said years ago she wouldn't have dreamt of stripping down for something like this (watch it and you'll see what I mean)
For anyone who doesn't know this amazing choir got the Gold Buzzer on the show!! That means they go straight to the final!
The choir is made up of woman who either have cancer, had cancer or somebody close to them has Cancer. It is SO moving to watch and you can't help but feel inspired by these amazing women and their strength and resilience.
Sea Of Change Choir have already raised 700k and bought a house for Aoibheann's Pink Tie charity which serves as a respite house for families with sick children. If they win the show the majority of the money will be used to maintain the house 🏘️🌸
I'm so proud and really hope they win the show ❣️
