FCCC are delighted to announce that Dr Mary O'Kane will facilitate the following online Webinar on 'Parenting with Patience' for Parents of Early Years Children in Fingal.

Are you struggling to keep your patience with your children? We all know that dealing with challenging behaviour can be one of the most stressful aspects of parenting. From the tantrums of the little ones to negotiation with older children, most of us could use a little help to manage our children’s behaviour in a positive way. In this Webinar, Dr Mary O’Kane gives very practical advice on parenting with patience, resulting in a happier parent and a happier child!

The National Parents Council are running Free parent workshops titled “Supporting your child’s positive mental health in the early years”.

The environment that a child grows up in and the relationships that a child has with their parents in the first five years of life is very important to the development of a child’s long term positive mental health.
The key elements of this programme are:
v Meeting your child’s needs- how everyday life can impact positively on your child’s mental health
v Coping when things don’t go your way! Helping your child understand and manage their emotions, dealing with challenges
v Developing and nurturing your relationship with your child
v Resilience, how to support your child to build resilience
v Children’s Rights - Giving your child the opportunity to live a mentally healthy life
