BLS for Healthcare Providers training on Thursday 2nd March 2023.

BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers course is designed for medical, para-medical and allied healthcare professionals.
The skills taught include adult and pediatric CPR (including two rescuer scenarios), use of bag valve mask and barrier devices, management of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO), as well as use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The training includes theory and practical assessment.
The course is approved by the Irish Heart Foundation and the American Heart Association and is widely recognised, both nationwide and internationally.

The duration of the training is approx 4.5 hours.

Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be issued with credit card sized e-cards, which are valid for 2 years.

Manual Handling training on Thursday 27th August 2020.

The training will start at 10am and will be held at WD Training Centre, 27 Stadium Business Park, Ballycoolin Road, Dublin 11.
The duration of the training is approx. 2 hours.

The course is suitable for construction, production, warehouse, office staff, etc. and includes practical element.

The training is provided in a very safe environment (limited number of participants per session, 2 meter distance between trainees, temperature checks on arrival and full hand hygiene facilities).

The fee for provision of the training is 40 euro.

Upon successful completion of the training, candidates will be issued with certificates, which are valid for 3 years.

The training will start at 2pm.
Duration: 2.5 hours.
The training will be held at WD Training Centre, 27 Stadium Business Park, Ballycoolin Road, Dublin 11.

Earlier this year in Ireland the Irish Aviation Authority (Aviation Security Department) took over responsibility for entity compliance monitoring for those entities responsible for the preparation and handling is consignments following

To assist air cargo security managers with recent updates to the NCASP and required changes to company security programmes, we will be running a one day air cargo security managers workshop on Monday 22nd May.
This workshop is designed to give security managers an in-depth knowledge of the NCASP and how to navigate and reference it against EC regulations.
During the day we will be focusing specifically on chapters 6 & 11 of the NCASP, as well as going over the latest December 2016 updates and the relevance this has on known consignors, certified hauliers and regulated agents.
The day will also include reviewing security programs and required updates and we will also spent time clarifying definitions such as certified haulier, high risk cargo and mail HRCM, etc.

We have also issued an invitation to the IAA to attend on the day, so we may have the opportunity to address the authority directly with any concerns or queries we have.
All attendees on the one day workshop will also receive new security manager certification, as this is part of continued training and upskilling.

We will be running a 3 day Occupational First Aid training on 15th, 22nd and 29th May.

The training will be held at WD Training Centre, 27 Stadium Business Park, Ballycoolin Road, Dublin 11.

The QQI Level 5 Occupational First Aid training course is designed to provide the learner with the understanding, knowledge and practical skills required to provide and coordinate first aid in the workplace in compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2007 and its accompanying Regulations and Guidelines.

The course will cover the following topics.

• First Aid in the Workplace

• Patient Assessment

• Respiratory Emergencies

• Cardiac First Response including defibrillation

• Wounds and bleeding

• Altered levels of consciousness

• Musculoskeletal injuries

• Burns and scalds

• Chemicals and Electrical Shock Injuries

The fee for this 3 day course is 250 euro.

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, participants will be issued with a QQI (FETAC) Level 5 Occupational First Aid certificate, which is valid for two years.

WD Training Centre offers Healthcare Package training which includes Patient Manual Handling training, Heartsaver CPR AED training, Standard Infection Prevention & Control training and Elderly Abuse Prevention training.

Our next available Healthcare Package training will be held on Wednesday 22nd and on Thursday 23rd March.

The “Healthcare package” training is being held over two full days (9am - 5pm) and includes Patient Manual Handling training, Heartsaver CPR AED training, Standard Infection Prevention & Control training and Elderly Abuse Prevention training.

The cost of the package is 170 euro per person.

Successful candidates will receive 4 certificates: Manual Handling & People Moving training certificate, Standard Infection Prevention & Control training certificate and Elderly Abuse Prevention training certificate, which are issued by WD Training Centre and a community Heartsaver CPR AED training certificate which is issued by the Irish Heart Foundation.

All our trainers are fully qualified instructors and our training courses are carried out in accordance with HSA guidelines.
