Monday Grammar Rules: Present Continuous

Do you know how to use the Present Continuous correctly? 🤔

We use the Present Continuous to talk about actions happening now or temporary situations ⏳

Structure:
Subject + am/is/are + verb + ing

Correct examples ✅
I am studying English
She is watching TV
They are playing football

Common mistakes ❌
I study now
She watch TV at the moment

Correct ✅
I am studying now
She is watching TV at the moment

We can also use the Present Continuous for:
• Actions happening right now
• Temporary situations
• Future arrangements

Monday Grammar Rules | Adverbs of Frequency

Always, usually, sometimes… do you know where to place them in a sentence?

📌 We use adverbs of frequency to talk about habits and routines.

With most verbs:
Subject + adverb + main verb
✔️ I always go to the gym.

With the verb “to be”:
Subject + to be + adverb
✔️ They are never late.

Common adverbs of frequency:
• always → 100%
• usually → 80%
• often → 60%
• sometimes → 40%
• rarely → 20%
• never → 0%
