A huge thank you to Malahide Community School for their incredible engagement with our Climate Literacy Programme, and a special shoutout to their teacher, Eve, and our facilitator Liz, whose combined creativity and dedication made every session memorable for these students 🌍

These 30 Transition Year students explored a full range of sustainability topics. A highlight was when students explored climate justice through interactive and hands-on activities involving distorted world maps, the story of the first climate refugees in the developed world, a relay race and discussions connecting their learnings to flooding they had witnessed here in Ireland. These were not easy conversations, but this class was engaged, eager to learn and took heart in participating!

Completed our programme and want to keep the momentum going in your school? Our Subscription Schools membership gives you the support, resources and expert guidance to deliver ESD all year long.

🌿 Biodiversity Hunt at Blarney Street CBS, one of our CLOuD schools in Cork!

What an outstanding effort from this cohort taking part in this project, funded by Research Ireland as part of the Discover Programme!

Armed with their devices, learners set out to uncover biodiversity right on their doorstep.

They captured images, researched and identified species, and recorded their findings in the citizen science database, making a real contribution to biodiversity data.

Activities like this build skills across science and inquiry, digital literacy, communication, teamwork and environmental awareness. Swipe to see the full picture! 👉
