The Junior Schools' Debating Competition is open to secondary school students in Leinster from 1st, 2nd and 3rd year.
The competition is co-convened by UCD Law Society and UCD Literary and Historical Society.

Due to demand, we are delighted to announce that the UCD Debate Camp will take place remotely this summer. The five-day camp will run from 10 am to 4 pm each day from the 10th-14th of August. The camp is suitable for 1st - 6th year students. Students will receive world-class, individualised and interactive coaching in small groups with some of Ireland's internationally recognised debaters.

Registration for the 2019/2020 competition is now open with a deadline of Wednesday the 11th of September. If your school would like to enter and have not received registration information please get in touch with the page!
The draw for the finals has been sent out. If you have students in the final and did not receive the email please contact us. We are excited to see everyone in UCD in two weeks for the culmination of the year!
All competitors from the competition are welcome to join us on the 28th.

Congratulations to all of those going through to the Grand Final. The standard of debate this evening was extremely high and we are very proud of all of our Semi Finalists! Well done everyone!
Unfortunately due to a campus-wide power outage, we have not been able to hold the Semi Finals this evening. Consequently, the Grand Final has been postponed. The new date will be confirmed as soon as possible.
