Physics Busking

Physics Busking Physics Busking, is a nationwide initiative to unlease the fun and frolics of physics (&science) across Ireland.

Physics Busking was established in Ireland in 2005 by the Irish Science on Stage team through a collaboration between the Institute of Physics in Ireland and CASTeL at Dublin City University, with the aim of promoting science and increasing public engagement in science. An extended lineup of events is scheduled over the coming year and includes performances during National Science Week, Electric P

icnic, Festival of Curiosity, Bloom, Body & Soul, National Ploughing Champions as well as festivals of science in Mallow and Galway. Participation and engagement at all of these events has been possible through funding received from SFI's Discover Programme, which seeks to promote the awareness and engagement of the Irish public with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Hello all! It's Science Week and although we may be locked down, there's still loads going on around and online for you to take part in. Including a family quiz this Sunday with lots of great LEGO prizes! Free to join and hosted by our friend Phil Smyth, its hopefully going to be a bit of a laugh. Ages - young to old! Bad jokes included


We partner with lots of organisations to support and deliver STEM events in Ireland, from large scale scientific conferences to exciting public events such as Science Week.
