Hyde and Seek Childcare

🐄✨ Last week, our children in Millbourne had an amazing time becoming little farmers for a day! 🌾 They loved "milking" our painted cow and learning where milk really comes from. 🥛 We're sure they can put their new skills into practice now! 😊 🐄🌟

🧪🍋 Our little scientists had an exciting time creating bubbles using a lemon! ✨ They were thrilled to see the fizzy reaction and learn about the science behind it. 😊

Would you like to try the Lemon Fizz Project at home?

1. Put a spoonful of baking soda into a glass.
2. If you want colored bubbles, add a drop or two of food coloring.
3. Squeeze in some lemon juice or pour in bottled lemon juice. Other citrus juices work too, but lemon juice works best. As you stir, bubbles will start to rise and overflow.
4. Keep the fun going by adding more lemon juice and baking soda.
5. Add a little bit of sugar and you will enjoy your delicious fizzy lemonade! 😜

How It Works: The baking soda reacts with the lemon juice to form carbon dioxide gas. The carbon dioxide rises up creating lots of fizzy, fun bubbles!

☀️🌊 Our last days were filled with sunshine and creativity! Our children in Shaw Street loved creating their own oceans and seas, complete with whales, dolphins, crabs, and seahorses. 🐋🐬🦀🦞They also had so much fun chasing bubbles around the garden. After all the excitement, they enjoyed a yummy tea to fill their tummies. 😊 What a perfect way to start the week! ☀️🌈

With the support from our fantastic families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 , wonderful staff 🫂 and our staff who are taking part in the VHI Women's Mini Marathon on June 2nd, we hope to reach our fundraising target of €250 for Temple Street Children's Hospital 🏥. Our staff 🏃‍♀🏃🏾‍♀who are taking part in the Mini Marathon are busy training and getting ready for the big day. 🥇 👟🏁
We are also looking forward to hosting fundraising events and activities over the next two weeks to raise vital funds that are needed to provide essential medical care and support to sick children in need ❤️‍🩹. It is a charity close to our 🫶🏻hearts🫶🏻 at Hyde & Seek and we ask you to donate if you are able to do so. ❤️

Guess what! The pizza 🍕 party has arrived at our crèche in Glasnevin to celebrate the greatest crew ever! 🎉🎉

EARTH DAY 🌎🌱♻️💚

Our staff, parents and children 🙌🏻🙌🏻 have been very busy bringing recycled materials to the creche for everyone to reuse.

Using recycled materials ♻️ we created new play activities, crafts and play materials for our interest areas such as old tubes for the construction area or cartons and packages for the home corner, the materials were given a new lease of life through the children’s play and art activities🎨🖌️.

This week our Shaw Street preschoolers joined the important mission to protect our wonderful planet 🌍 Our little helpers joined together 🫂 to learn how to conserve our plant and keep our world a happy place 💫💫 they also became experts of the three R's with their beautiful art crafts made from recycled materials 🌷🌺🌹♻️
