Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) is one of the most celebrated works of world literature. Published 300 years ago and never out of print, it has been studied, adapted, retold, and illustrated in countless ways, in many languages, both for adults and children. A new exhibition in The Long Room reveals how Lemuel Gulliver’s voyages to the lands of Lilliput, Brobdingnag, Laputa, and the Houyhnhnms have fascinated readers for 300 years. Gulliver at 300 will be on display until December 2026. Tickets available in bio.
