🐛🍎 A very hungry little caterpillar has arrived in our Seahorse Room!

Inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children enjoyed this colourful tuff tray filled with lots of opportunities for sensory exploration and hands-on play. Using scoops and tongs, they explored the different textures and “fed” the hungry caterpillar while bringing one of their favourite stories to life! 📚🍐🍊

Such a lovely way to combine storytelling, sensory play and fine motor development. 💚

👩‍🍳🍕 Welcome to our Mini Chefs’ Restaurant!

Our Afterschool children have been busy creating their very own restaurant and bringing it to life through imaginative role play! ✨

Taking on different roles as chefs, waiters and customers, the children created menus, took orders, prepared their pretend dishes and enjoyed running their restaurant together. 🍔🍝🥗

A fun experience that encouraged creativity, communication, independence and teamwork, all while learning through play. ❤️

A very special set-up in our Starfish Room, prepared by one of our little learners! 🥰✨

Taking on the role of the teacher, he used his imagination to prepare the activities for his friends ,creating a hospital for the sick teddies with an ambulance ready to help 🚑🧸, as well as a colourful frog pond for some sensory water play! 🐸💦

We love seeing children take the lead, share their ideas and bring their creativity into the classroom. ❤️

🎨 A different canvas for our little artists!

Our Starfish Room had so much fun exploring paint in a whole new way, using cling film wrapped around the tables as their canvas! 🌈🖌️

The children experimented with colours, shapes and brush strokes while enjoying the freedom to create together from every side. Such a simple idea turned into a wonderfully creative and engaging art experience! ✨

🐦🌿 A very special little visitor gave our Starfish Room a wonderful learning opportunity!

When a baby bird fell from its nest in our garden, the children learned about how we can safely care for and respect the wildlife around us. We contacted Kildare Wildlife Rescue for advice and, following their guidance, carefully helped the little bird — lovingly named “Flap Flap” by the children 🥹 back onto a branch in the tree.

The best part? His mama was still nearby and able to come back and feed him! 💛 A lovely real-life lesson in kindness, nature and caring for living things.

Our children have been enjoying lots of messy and sensory play, exploring different textures, colours and materials through hands-on activities. From colourful rice and small world play to painting and plenty of messy fun, there was so much to discover! 🎨🌈

Our Seahorse Room has been exploring the wonderful world of sensory play! 🌈✨

Using touch, sight and sound, the children had so much fun discovering different textures, colours and materials in this colourful sensory tray. 🪶🧶💜

Sensory play is a lovely way for little ones to explore, investigate and learn through hands-on experiences while developing their curiosity and creativity. 🥰

🎶 A day full of music in our Seahorse Room! 🎵

The children had a wonderful time celebrating Music Festival Day, enjoying a special flute performance and putting their listening skills to the test with a fun “Guess the Song” game. 🎼✨

They also had the chance to discover the melodica, exploring how it works and listening to its different sounds before taking the music outdoors for even more fun in the garden! 🎹🌿

A lovely way to introduce our little ones to different instruments while encouraging curiosity, listening and a love of music. 💛
