South Dublin Taekwondo

Bhí áthas orainn aitheantas a thabhairt le déanaí dár gcreasa dubha, Caoimhe agus Éabha de Búrca, as a gcuid ranníocaíochta, a ndúthracht agus a gceannaireacht dhearfach mar bhaill shóisearacha de SDTKD.

Tá na cúpla 16 bliana d’aois anois, agus tá siad mar chuid dár gclub ó bhí siad ar an gcéad lá inár gclár óige bunaidh. Le blianta beaga anuas, tá siad tar éis forbairt ina n-ealaíontóirí comhraic eisceachtúla, agus thuill siad a 2ú Creasa Dubha Dan anuraidh trí obair chrua, buanseasmhacht agus tiomantas.

Mar chomhartha beag dár mbuíochas, bronnadh criosanna dubha saincheaptha bróidnithe ar an mbeirt acu. Mar léiriú iontach ar a mbród inár dteanga dhúchais, a labhraíonn siad beirt go líofa mar a bpríomhtheanga, roghnaigh siad a gcreasa a bheith bróidnithe i nGaeilge.

Beidh aithne ag go leor ball de SDTKD ar Caoimhe agus Éabha ní hamháin as a ndúthracht ar na mataí, ach freisin as an spreagadh agus an tacaíocht a thugann siad do mhic léinn níos óige, lena n-áirítear spreagadh dá ndeirfiúracha Clíodhna agus Réiltín inár gclub agus ag imeachtaí sparraíochta, a sheachadtar go minic trí mheán na Gaeilge sa chlub.

Ag cur leis na héachtaí a bhí acu le déanaí, ainmníodh an bheirt deirfiúracha do Ghradaim Óige an Gharda Síochána áitiúil tar éis do thuismitheoir iad a chur chun cinn mar aitheantas ar an tionchar dearfach a bhí acu ag tacú lenár bhfoireann agus ag cabhrú le daoine eile ag imeachtaí le déanaí.

Léiríonn Caoimhe agus Éabha luachanna SDTKD trína meas, a gceannaireacht, a gcineáltas agus a n-fonnmhaireacht chun rud éigin a thabhairt ar ais do phobal an chlub.

Táimid thar a bheith bródúil as an mbeirt acu agus táimid ag tnúth le gach a mbainfidh siad amach sna blianta amach romhainn a fheiceáil.
