Hidden Scientists/Hidden Creatives 2026

Now in its third year, Hidden Scientists / Hidden Creatives is a powerful poster exhibition shining a light on the overlooked contributions of women in STEM and Design. Created by second year Visual Communication students at Dublin. This project challenges prevailing narratives about innovation and knowledge by addressing the underrepresentation and historical marginalisation of women in these fields. The exhibition highlights the essential yet frequently unseen roles women have played in advancing research, discovery, and design.

This project is an ongoing collaboration between the TU Dublin School of Art and Design, the School of Biological, Health and Sports Sciences, the Sustainability and Research Hub, and the Research, Ethics, and Integrity Office. It is supported by the Office of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion and the Faculty of Sciences and Health.

Each year, upon completion of the exhibition, posters are permanently housed in the Green Way Hub, growing the collection.

EPILOGUE 3 : Third Year Fine Art Exhibition 2026

Exhibition continues: Friday 24th April, 10.00 am - 1.00pm

EPILOGUE 3 presents work developed during the third year of the Fine Art programme at TU Dublin, bringing together a range of practices and processes that reflect the evolving concerns and methodologies of the artists.

This year has offered a space for experimentation and the exploration of individual interests unfolded across a number of modalities: MAKING IS THINKING, MAPPING THE RESEARCH, BUILDING AN IMAGE BANK, MEANS OF PRODUCTION, and MAKING PUBLIC(S).

Also presented as part of EPILOGUE 3 is HIVE_MIND_2026 a compilation film of artist’s research and reference images that have informed their thinking and practice.

EPILOGUE 3 features work by Nick Bayne, Norma Burke, Chloe Cullen, Rachel Curtis, Grainne Daly, Susie de Paor, Mariella Fock, Alec Hales, Alanna Hickey, Mia Hughes, Lucy Keely, Corina Lin, Katelyn Macleod, Karl Mooney, Jacob Musselman, Daniel Parkhill, Saoirse Phillips, Eve Pinkney, Ugne Tauginaite, Emma Thornton, Hanna Undlien.

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at TU Dublin is pleased to launch the new Ethics, Technology & Culture (etc.) Lecture Series, exploring how technological change is shaping society, culture, and everyday life.

The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Dr Rilla Khaled, internationally recognised design researcher, titled: Real (talk) > True (talk): Making space for making.

In her lecture, she will introduce the Method for Design Materialisation (MDM), a framework that documents how creative projects develop from initial ideas through to finished outcomes. By making the thinking behind design work more visible, the approach challenges traditional definitions of research while highlighting how creative practices contribute to our understanding of technology, culture, and society.
