Noeleen Slevin's Memory won the BronzeArt Sponsored prize.
Lost wax bronze sculpture inspired by memories of my family in Wexford and Kildare. The piece represents holding onto memories. The acorn is reproduced from the Kildare County Crest. The acorn symbolises Cill Dara which means Church of the Oak Tree. The Fern represents Ferns in County Wexford. Mould Making and wax modelling techniques employed.

The lexicon of words used to undermine and diminish a woman is extensive and doesn't have an equivalency for men. The casual misogyny of slang is so incorporated into everyday conversation that it is no longer remarkable, but acts as an effective silencer.
