Last week we celebrated Pyjama Day with the kids, and it was such a cozy, joyful time! Everyone arrived in their favourite pyjamas—some even brought along robes and slippers. We created a comfy corner with blankets and cuddly toys, jumped on the sofa, coloured pictures, and did lots of fun crafts and gluing.
Beyond the laughter and play, the children learned valuable things too: expressing themselves freely, using their creativity, cooperating with friends, and discovering that learning can happen through play and comfort. It was a lovely reminder that a warm, relaxed environment helps children feel confident, connected, and ready to explore. ✨🧸

New year, new intentions ✨
One of my little promises for this year is to share more with you about our everyday life here at Little Nest 🪺
So let’s start with the very first days of the year!
To make sure the year begins magically, we welcomed the New Year with sparkly creations ✨
We made glitter-filled cards, handprint keepsakes, and used golden paint while making a promise to create lots of new magical moments together.
The little ones are enjoying paint play more and more — getting messy with colours is becoming a big favourite 🎨
But of course, the all-time winner is still messy play!
Our first messy setup of the year was New Year–themed:
I hid colourful coins in rice, many of them magnetic, so the children could collect them easily using a magic wand 🪄
We added some fun New Year’s props to make the activity even more exciting — and no surprise, it kept them engaged for a very long time.
It was such a joy to watch tiny hands creating, exploring, and concentrating so carefully 💛
🍁 Simple Autumn Craft for Little Ones 🍂
Looking for an easy and fun fall activity? Try this adorable handprint tree project! 🌳✨
1️⃣ Trace your child’s hands and cut them out – these will be your tree branches.
2️⃣ Create a colourful autumn background! Let the kids dot or dab child-safe paints in warm fall shades. They love getting messy, and it makes the artwork truly theirs. (You can also keep the background white or use coloured paper!)
3️⃣ While their hands are still painty, make a few extra handprints to brighten up your autumn decor! 🖐️🎨
4️⃣ Add some leaves – stickers, stamps, or even real ones from your garden. 🍃
5️⃣ Encourage little fingers to stick on the decorations themselves – great for fine motor skills!
6️⃣ Every masterpiece turns out different… and that’s what makes each one perfect. ❤️
A fun, sensory, and creative way to celebrate the beauty of fall with your little artists! 🍂👧🧒
