Earlier this year, four original animated shorts were selected to be produced and screened at the Ireland pavillion in Osaka, Japan as part of Expo 2025. Wiggleywoo produced one called Ceol.
On Saturday 30th August, the filmmakers of Ireland's Osaka Shorts programme will present their completed films in a short programme from 12-1pm in Cinema 2 at the Irish Film Institute, 6 Eustace St, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
The Osaka Expo continues into October this year, and will host millions of visitors over its six-month duration. This is a chance to see all four films in Dublin, followed by a Q&A and coffee with the filmmakers.
The musical shorts feature unique aspects of Irish cultural history and heritage. The screening is supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, in partnership with Animation Ireland and the National Talent Academy for Animation.
